Rich Jersey’s passion for delivering quality meat to discerning customers began as early as childhood, when he would tag along with his father who was in food business. Eager to get started, Rich made his first sales call at the tender young age of 18. In the years since, Rich has developed and fine-tuned his craft at well-respected meat companies servicing clients around the globe. In recent years, Rich witnessed a distinct shift in the tastes and trends of consumers, leaning towards healthier alternatives to the standard protein offerings. There has been a marked increase in demand for specialty meats, including bison, elk, venison, wild boar, rabbit and such. With a limited number of providers for these non-standard proteins, Rich saw a need for a “one stop shop” for all specialty and exotic meat products. To satisfy this niche market, Rich has developed an extensive list of specialty proteins that are now available for purchase for restaurants and distributors.
With years of experience in the meat industry, Gisela Carrillo, Vice President and co-owner, adds the strength and structure for the company, allowing for expansion into untapped markets both in the US and abroad. Gisela's professionalism and experience in logistics, sales and purchasing ensures availablity of product and on-time delivery.
Rich’s vision in starting the company was to be a singular point of contact for restaurants and foodservice distributors seeking specialty and exotic proteins for their menus. The core product line currently includes Wagyu, Bison, Elk, Venison, Rabbit, Kangaroo, Wild Boar, and the list expands weekly. If there is a demand, Rich Jersey LLC will find the source and bring the proteins to the market. Current distribution centers are located in Los Angeles, Chicago, Philly, Denver and Idaho Falls.
